Thanks for putting these different voices on my radar. I never would have come across them on my own. A few of them helped open my mind up and get me thinking about a wide range of things. Sometimes I get so hyper-focused on my own little nitche corner I forget to stick my head up and see what's going on "out there."
Thank you for recommending our piece on Perplexity Comet, Bechem! Also glad to have a list of articles that are worth our reading attention. Have read some, some more to go!
Thanks for including the Ludwig piece in your weekend roundup.
Being placed right after a freelancer who lost $50k by not seeing herself as a business owner, and right before a French warning about AI making us all replaceable, and that's actually perfect positioning for a story about a billionaire nobody remembers who flew economy and yelled about paperclips.
Ludwig would've loved the company. The freelancer learned the hard way that identity matters more than talent. Ludwig already knew that obscurity was more valuable than fame. And the French piece argues you can't AI your way out of becoming replaceable, which is exactly what Ludwig did by being so singular nobody could copy him.
It's almost like you curated this on purpose.
Appreciate you noticing the piece. Made my weekend,
Charlie
P.S. — More people will learn about Daniel Ludwig from your roundup this weekend than have bought that $2,000 book in the past decade. Ludwig would call that ROI.
Such an interesting highlight of different articles you've read. I don't have enough time to read them all, but I make sure to read as much as I can! Thank you for sharing them.
